The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB), under the Commonwealth Treasury’s Housing Group, has announced the appointment of Adrian Piani as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 December 2025.
Adrian brings extensive experience from both the private and public sectors, having served as the ACT Chief Engineer and most recently overseeing GHD’s federal government portfolio.
The ABCB has also acknowledged the valuable contributions of Judith Blake, who has been acting in the CEO role since May 2025. Her leadership and dedication have been highly regarded throughout her tenure. Judith will take a short period of leave before returning to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources as General Manager, Onboarding and Grants Programs Branch.
